Akram Khan’s Giselle

An English National Ballet Production
World Premiere: 27 September 2016, Palace Theatre, Manchester

The iconic ballet, reimagined.

In this acclaimed version by Akram, the greatest Romantic ballet and its story of love, betrayal and redemption are reimagined.

The score is adapted by Akram’s long-term collaborator Vincenzo Lamagna, adapted from Adolphe Adam’s original, and performed by English National Ballet Philharmonic.

Sets and costumes by award-winning designer Tim Yip and atmospheric lighting design by Mark Henderson conjure up a condemned factory and the vengeful ghosts that appear in its shadows.

This production returns to Sadler’s Wells in September 2024. For further information, please visit English National Ballet’s website.
