A paediatrician by profession, Dr. Sharan Subramanian has been trained in Carnatic Vocal Music under Sri. Gade Sathyanarayanamurthy and Vid. BS Anand in Bangalore. A versatile musician, he has performed as part of Indian and Western bands on several stages in India all through his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, and was the lead vocalist of the acapella band Heaven’s Inglorious Voices (HIV). He currently pursues advanced vocal lessons with Dr. Vidya Raja. Appreciated for his voice timbre, Sharan’s moving renditions have delighted all those who listen to him. Amidst the demanding schedules of his current job with the NHS England, Sharan indulges in his passion for music and the arts through collaborations with Mumbai-based ‘Khoj The Band’ and Bharatanatyam Artiste Divya Ravi.
