Lan Behrendt

Costume Designer

Lan Behrendt grew up on the coast of the Baltic Sea but soon found herself in the bustling hub of creativity, Berlin. Behrendt, started working as a designer at the age of sixteen. Settling in Germany, Lan began developing her own work through her passion for martial arts, travel and dance. By the time she was eighteen, Behrendt had presented her first collection from her brand “commeonveut” at Berlin Fashion Week. Placing emphasis on sustainability, Lan was later inspired to rebrand her label after her mother, renaming it to “DYAO” and has since seen her collections featured in art films by high profile actors such as Cate Blanchett, as well in fashion magazines and can be found in international boutiques.
