Theatre and Dance NI are so excited to be hosting a Masterclass with Akram Khan Company, facilitated by Jasper Narvaez.

Beginning with a warm-up developed through Akram’s movement vocabulary, participants will be able to explore their own creativity through exercises and tasks focusing on rhythm, speed, cycles and silence. The workshop will develop into learning choreographic phrases from Akram Khan Company Repertoire and finish with a Q&A.

This masterclass will be held at The MAC and is suitable for dancers with high level of professional training. Please make sure to bring water with you. Tickets will be on a first come first served basis. Cost of tickets are as follows:

Individual/Student Members: £30

Funded Organisation Staff Members: £40

Non TDNI Members: £50

TDNI are committed to the Health & Safety of our staff, members and the general public. If Covid-19 restrictions prohibit the in-person sessions within this series, the training will be rescheduled. Whilst the government guidelines have been eased, to protect everyones safety, and given the nature of some of our workshops, we will still require participants who are attending in person to provide:

Proof of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken no more than 12 hours prior to the event. This result should then be sent to Molly at projects@theatreanddanceni.org. Please be aware participants may be asked to take a lateral flow test on arrival to the building if no prior information has been provided. 

If your lateral flow test is positive do not come along to this event and please report your test result here.Theatre and Dance NI will not be recording the lateral flow test results, they are just for use for your event.
