British-Austrian drummer Bernhard Schimpelsberger is a singular phenomenon in the world of percussion today. A rhythmic visionary who has unified the percussion traditions of India and the West, expressed through his unique artistic voice.

The percussionist who performs with ‘substance, excitement and rigour’ (The Independent) and ‘plays the drumkit in a style true to that of a tabla virtuoso’ (Confluence) has collaborated and toured the globe with his band Circle of Sound, Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, Talvin Singh and Susheela Raman among others.
